Silver Eel Is No Longer In Service

The Fishers Island Ferry District regrets to inform our customers that our Fast Ferry, the Silver Eel is no longer in service and is up for sale. Unfortunately, it did not meet Districts expectations for daily traffic after four years with a regular seasonal schedule.

We thank all our customers who did make regular use of the Silver Eel and enjoyed the 20-minute ride to and from Fishers Island.
