David McCall
The Fishers Island Ferry District recently conducted an extensive search in anticipation of Island Operations Manager Gordon Murphy’s impending retirement. Among a group of very qualified candidates for Gordon’s successor, David McCall emerged as the choice to oversee the various components that make up Ferry District operations on Fishers Island.
Mr. McCall brings to this job as Island Manager the financial, management, and customer service skills that are essential attributes for the position, along with other applicable work experiences.
Ferry District Management and the Board of Commissioners are very confident that David will be able to quickly grasp the various aspects of our business here on the island.
Importantly, as a Fishers Island ‘lifer’ and recently becoming a year-round resident with his wife Abby, David understands and appreciates the unique qualities of this island. When not at the Ferry Office he can be found hiking the island trails, and enjoying the company of their three children, family, and friends.
