The airport entrance road paving has been delayed until the week of August 23 and will take 2 days. Until then the road will continue to receive process stone and compaction.
The traffic can use the airport road except on paving days. The road will remain open for one-lane travel except for occasional brief closures while the processed stone is delivered and applied.
An alternate route to the airport is to take the south beach road by the movie theater, go past the transfer station and take the next right and follow to the airport.
The road is being built to FAA specifications. Twelve inches of base was removed and 12 inches will be replaced.
Paving was delayed due to getting the asphalt out here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As previously announced and discussed the airport road reconstruction has been rescheduled for the week of August 2nd. The contractor is B&W Paving and C&S Engineers is overseeing the project. All except for one day the road should be passable. Airport traffic should use the old Army roads by South Beach to enter the airport parking lot.
