New 5% Fuel Surcharge On Passenger, Vehicle and Commercial Fares

Fast ferry Silver Eel is currently waiting for parts to repair one of its engines. Our intention is to put this ferry back in service as soon as possible.
Fishers Island Ferry is seeking summer staff and year round part-time help for the 2022 season.
Gordon Murphy has spent the last ten years as the on-island face of the Fishers Island Ferry and is retiring on February 28, 2022. His tireless and never-ending efforts on behalf of the FIFD will be greatly missed. Gordon, thank you and congratulations!

The Fishers Island Ferry District introduced a new ticket system in January.
The dredging of the channel into Silver Eel Cove was completed as of December 1st. Approximately 2500 cubic yards of clean sand material have been removed.
Due to high winds, the 6:15pm/7:00pm boat has been cancelled for today, Monday, December 6th 2021.
H&L Contracting is expected to mobilize to the site on Wednesday, November 17th and work around the clock. A total of 1700 cubic yards will be removed. With a production goal of 400 cubic yards per day the work should take 4-5 days to complete, weather permitting. The ferry schedule should not be affected.
Due to the expected high winds for Wednesday, October 27th 2021, the 7:00am/8:15am boat has been cancelled. All other ferry departures are expected to remain as scheduled until further notice.
